Culinary Creations:  Basic Cake Decorating






NEXT CLASS BEGINS – June 13, 2018

The Culinary Creations:  Basic Cake Decorating course offers an introduction to the basic art of frosting and decorating a cake.  Topics include familiarization with cake decorating tools, bags, tips and an exploration into different styles of cakes.  We will demonstrate how to properly torte, fill and frost a cake.  Students will practice basic border techniques, decorative piping, drop flowers and leaves.  The course also touches upon the basic art of covering a cake in fondant and using fondant to create decorative elements on a cake.

Total Course Length:     27 Hours

Course Schedule:
Students enrolled in distant and/or hybrid courses should have daily access to a computer with internet and must have a valid e-mail address that they check daily.  Additionally, student should have all necessary hardware and software components required by their technology program or adult education course.

Wednesdays, 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
